20 Chonky Cat Memes for People Who Measure Love in Pounds and Purrs

Posted by Ayala Sorotsky

Oh lawd… they comin'. One majestic thump at a time. Yes, we're talking about the absolute units of the feline world: the chonks, the meowntains, the fluff tanks. Chonky cats aren't just cats - they're more cat. More loaf, more love, more gravity-defying roundness packed into every step (or nap, let's be real).

Whether they're a certified "heckin' chonker", a "mega-meowmoth", or simply rocking the "I fits, I sits, I overflows" lifestyle, chonky cats are iconic. They are the walking (or shuffling) proof that every inch of floof counts. Their bellies swing with purpose, and their snack-related agendas are full of mealtimes. And we wouldn't have it any other way.

Chonky cats don't just rule the couch - they rule the internet. Because when it comes to meme material, the chonk reigns supreme. These chonky cat memes deliver everything you need: laughs, love, loafs, and a reminder that sometimes, the best things in life come in extra-large, extra-fluffy packages. So enjoy these fine specimens of feline girth and glory - because the chonk must go on.

24 Hissterical Black Cats Being Legendary Little Weirdos, Just in Time for Caturday

Posted by Blake Seidel

We're not supposed to have a favorite kind of cat here at the I Can Has Cheezburger offices…. but we do. We love all cats, but we love black cats the most. They are so sleek and shiny, and they are about as cuddly as you can get from a cat. In fact, our black cat literally won't leave us alone. They must be touching us at all times when we are home, and though some people may find it annoying, we think it's purrfectly sweet.

Not only are they super cuddly, but black cats probably can compete with orange cats for silliest purrsonalities. Oranges definitely take the gold medal when it comes to cat craziness, but black cats are a close second. They make the funniest faces and we often catch them in the derpiest shenanigans! We collected some hissterical black cats being legendary little weirdos below, to prove our point.

Posted by Mariel Ruvinsky

In the cattosphere, here on the internet, we have a specific term to describe pairs of cats that simply cannot be separated. We call them bonded pairs. Because that is what they are. They may be siblings from the same litter or simply two cats that have bonded strongly throughout their lives. Cat owners know this, internet cat aficionados know this, shelters know this. That's why a lot of shelters refuse to separate bonded pairs

Now, if a bonded pair does get separated, for whatever reason, it is part of your duty to bring them back together. Because without one another, they are not the same, they are not as happy, they will never feel quite complete. We know what it's like to lose someone. Let's not let our cats feel the same way if they don't have to. Make the effort, like the person in this story did, and we promise that, just like in this story, the payoff will be so, so worth it.

'He was kept in this cage for over a year': Beautiful wild ocelot that was held as someone's pet fel

Posted by Mariel Ruvinsky

When it comes to stories like these, where people capture big cats to keep them as pets, oftentimes, the change that the cats go through is irreversible. Many of these cats lose their instincts, and therefore, cannot be released into the wild and have to start looking for other purpose. Of course, when kind humans are involved, these cats can still live full lives with a new purpose, whether it's a bobcat becoming a foster momma to other bobcats and helping them be released into the wild, or if it's a lion becoming friends with a dachshund and finding joy in that.

But there are those rare times, those rare and joyful times, that the change is not irreversible, and the cats still have enough of their instincts to go back out into the world on their own and live their lives the way they were meant to be lived. This is one of those times. This ocelot got rescued early enough and that gave him a second chance at life.

28 Purrfectly Funny Feline Memes to Make Caturday Legendary Again (Now With Extra Whiskers)

Posted by Blake Seidel

Many Caturdays have come and gone since they came into existence around 10,000 years ago. Cats, quite literally, domesticated themselves just by showing up near early hoomans and never left. They used their cuteness, charm, and aloofness to charm these hoomans into letting them stay, and thus, Caturdays were born. Some people took Caturdays more seriously than others, like the Egyptians, who considered cats godly (they are) and basically made every day Caturday.

But in the hum-drum of today's world, Caturdays seem to have lost their spark. Some people are even starting to call them by their purrfectly boring name - Saturdays! Gasp! But we will settle for this no longer - we're making Caturdays legendary again one cat meme at a time, and this time, it comes with extra whiskers. Throw out all your Saturday plans because it's about to get pawsitively feline and funny in here - and it all starts with these hissterical kitties below. Are you ready to make Caturday purrfectly ameowzing again?

22 Cozy Cat Memes for a Friday Full of Flicks, Fur, and Fun

Posted by Sarah Brown

Friday night? Time to paws everything because it's meowvie night! When the sun sets and the snacks come out, cats across the land settle in for some serious screen time. Sure, they might not follow the plot, but they're all about the purrspective.

First, they claim the coziest blanket (and the remote), then dramatically knock over the popcorn just to prove they're the real stars of the show. Every action scene becomes a zoomie trigger, and any emotional moment is a cue for them to sit directly in front of the screen. Need subtitles? Too bad, there's a tail in the way.

Rom-coms? They'll sit through it, but only if there's a lap involved. Horror? That's just background noise for a late-night game of claw-the-couch. And if it's a nature documentary? Expect some paws on interaction with the wildlife on screen.

At the end of the night, the cat's curled up, the snacks are gone, and no one remembers what the movie was about, but it doesn't matter. Because Fridays are for fur, flicks, and feline drama.

22 Pawfect Pictures of Cozy Cats in PJs Ready to Sleep Away the Weekend

Posted by Sarah Brown

When it comes to bedtime furshion, cats in PJs are the cozy kings and queens of cuteness. These pajama-clad purrfectionists prove even the fluffiest creatures know how to relax in style. Whether it's a tiny onesie, a snug hoodie, or striped sleepers, these sleepyheads rock their bedtime look with pawsome flair.

Cats in PJs don't just nap. They purrform serious snooze sessions, curled up tighter than a catnip mouse in a mitten. They're champions of chill, masters of midnight cuddles, and sultans of snuggle. And if you think they're just in it for comfort, think again. Those pajamas add an extra dose of adorable that's almost too much to handle!

Sometimes they flash the classic "I'm ready for bedtime" side-eye, like, "Hooman, why are you still up?" Other times, they wiggle and squirm trying to get those PJs just right, proving even the fluffiest fashionistas can be finicky.

No matter the style, cats in PJs bring a whole new meaning to "catnap couture," turning bedtime into a catwalk of cuteness!

'I can’t legally keep her, but she clearly doesn’t want to be at her actual home': Renters can't kee

Posted by Sarah Brown

This whiskered wanderer started as a skittish visitor, hissing from afar and vanishing for weeks at a time. But over the past couple of months, she's gone from cautious guest to full-time purrsistor. Rain-soaked paws and early-morning meows turned into long naps and heart-melting cuddles. Despite gentle efforts to encourage her to return to her original humans, she keeps choosing the place where she feels safe, warm, and wanted.

Her official pawrents? Barely batted an eye. No missing posters, no concerned knocks, just a casual "Oh yeah, that's our cat!" and a laugh about her new feeding spot. They didn't even know her name. One might say this kitty has been emotionally abandoned without the paperwork.

Now, the human who's been unintentionally adopted is stuck between a cat and a hard place. Rental rules forbid pets, but the guilt of turning away a feline who's clearly chosen her new family is crushing. She's underweight, underloved, and over the old home. And she's not going back without a fight… or a nap first.

‘The vet said we could either take him or put him back on the street’: Aslan, the friendly orange st

Posted by Jesse Kessenheimer

Must a cat lover bring every cat they see on the street home with them? Probably not. Do they want to? Absolutely.

Finding a stray cat is an emotional endeavor. With your heart strings getting tugged between responsibility and moral obligation, cats have a way of burrowing themselves into our souls in an instant. We may know that we can't take another cat in the house, but we certainly can't leave this little fella out here to fend for himself! Ahh, alas, the query persists.

However, in some instances, the choice is made clear for our moral dilemma. Apparently, in Arizona, vets can't transfer stray cats to a shelter unless they're very sick. So a random, healthy stray waltzing into a vet clinic is either going home with his finder or he's going back to the streets. The would-be cat lovers in this next story found themselves in a pickle when they found Aslan, the giant, friendly orange cat under their car.

Should they return him to the wild? Or take him in themselves… You can paw-robably imagine what they decided next.

25 Cat Memes for the Pawrents Who Want to Feel the Feline Derp Hard

Posted by Ayala Sorotsky

What a time to be alive - humans and cats coexisting in glorious and chaotic harmony. Out of all the moments in history we could've been born, we just so happened to land in the era of floofy bellies, unexpected zoomies, and dramatic side-eyes from creatures who consider a shoebox a palace. Honestly, we should consider ourselves the lucky ones.

Sharing life with cats means sharing life with little chaos goblins who bring us laughter, love, joy, and regular reminders that we are, in fact, just the staff. They knock things over for sport, scream at 3 AM like they're opera singers, and then curl up next to us with such purring sweetness it erases all our memories of their crimes.

Is it any wonder cats have fully taken over the internet? They were born to be meme stars - the drama, the derp, the diva energy! Cat memes are our reward for being loyal subjects in their queendom. So, fellow cat pawrent or admirer, enjoy these hissterical feline funnies. You're living in the golden age of cat memes - and they expect you to laugh.

23 Feline Funnies Featuring the Adorable Agesnts of Chaos Known as Cats

Posted by Ayala Sorotsky

We cat pawrents need to be honest with ourselves - cats are adorable little agents of chaos. They knock over breakables just to assert dominance. They shred the couch like it owes them money. They'll look you de*d in the eye as they push your favorite mug off the table… and you'll still call them a sweet baby angel two seconds later. Why? Because they're our sweet baby angels.

Every cat pawrent knows the drill: the furniture is for scratching, the plants are for snacking, and the exposed belly is not an invitation - it's a trap. And yet, when that fluffy tum is exposed, we fall for it every time. We reach, we regret, and then we do it all over again tomorrow. That's love, baby.

Despite (or maybe because of) their destruction and drama, we wouldn't trade them for anything. Cats are unpredictable, derpy, hilarious, and weirdly therapeutic. So of course, they make the best memes. Cat memes capture this perfect balance of love and chaos, turning daily nonsense into pure comedy gold.

Office employee on a useless Teams meeting starts cleaning and talking nonsense to their cat through

Posted by Mariel Ruvinsky

You know those at-home office meetings… the ones during which you don't have to turn on your camera or your mic, you know- the ones that feel completely unnecessary? Could have been an email instead? Yeah, those ones. You know what makes them better? Having cats. Cats somehow sense when you are in a meeting, and for some reason, cats want to be part of your Zoom meetings. We don't know why, but we don't argue. If this is what makes our cats cuddle with us, then we have no problem.

There is only one risk when it comes to this. Letting your cat distract you during a meeting means that… you sometimes, might forget that you're on camera or that your mic is on. You just don't think about it. Because you're not listening. You're just looking at your cat. And well, this person learned the consequences of that quite fast and quite hard. We've been there, friend, just not quite this badly.
